For me when I put these on it blocks out the lights. Not just in a mostly dark room. Try a room with sunshine coming in through the window and lights on. None of it came through on the edges for me. Add the fact that it is super soft it makes it perfect for a daytime nap.

So soft and no pressure on my eyelids (hollowed out over the eyes). Perfect for migraines. Best you're going to find without getting something custom made. Already purchased more so I have them with me if I get a sudden migraine and need relief and still have some at home.
